What we collect

When you use ResumeReady, we collect the minimum information needed to provide the service:

• Account information – your email address and name, provided through Clerk authentication.
• Resumes – PDF files you upload for tailoring. We extract and store the text content and any hyperlinks.
• Job postings – URLs you submit. We fetch the public job description to generate suggestions.
• Payment information – processed entirely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and transaction records but never your card details.

How we use your data

• To generate AI-powered resume suggestions and tailored PDFs.
• To process credit purchases and maintain your balance.
• To improve the service – we may use anonymized, aggregated usage patterns. We never use your resume content for model training.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk – authentication and user management.
• Stripe – payment processing.
• AI processing – resume analysis and generation. Resume content is sent to a third-party AI provider for processing but is not used for model training.

Data retention

Your resumes, job applications, and generated PDFs are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual resumes and job applications at any time. If you close your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You can:

• Access and download your data at any time.
• Delete your resumes and job applications.
• Request full account deletion by contacting us.
